Inception of the ‘Bath House’

"The Bath House" as we have come to know and love it.

Between a sawdust composting outhouse in Portland, a 3'x6' ft flush house in the Sierra Foothills, a shared bathroom + shower in our hosts' home outside of Yuba River, a trailered in porta potty in San Antonio Reservoir Rec Area and countless amounts of 💩 holes outside of most National Parks, we realized we really enjoy and appreciate the luxury of an inviting, warm, comfortable, super clean and design focused bathroom experience. After all, a great bathroom experience usually starts your day off right 😝

We gathered a load of of our personal experience and IG/Pinterest/design + architecture inspiration, and Cory aka Seal did his Cory Hoover Design thang! Alas we developed our first Seal Dove Hacienda project and the backbone to our elevated overnight outdoor experience!

Excited to share our design and build journey with you all ❤️

After gathering inspiration from our trips around the world, doing a deep dive into the geography of our site location and developing a list of must haves, Cory mastered up this 3D rendering of our ‘Bath House!’ Coming in at 120 square feet, this hub for all future visitors will feature a black slate tiled walk in shower, teak wood accent features, two skylights for optimal stargazing and daylight sun, a separate toilet room for privacy and a reflective mural for gaining inspiration in all moments!
