Crystal Hermitage Gardens

OK! We had heard about this secret tulip garden of sorts in Nevada City from more than one neighbor, but did not take it too seriously at first. After all, fields of lavender and California Poppies usually get the most attention in the springtime, but BOY OH BOY, did we happen upon a hidden gem!!

Crystal Hermitage Gardens, located about 45 minutes east of Seal Dove Hacienda is not only home to tulip after tulip but also thousands of forget me nots, panises, snap dragons, peonies, and camellias to name a few!

Crystal Hermitage is the spiritual heart of the Ananda Village, “ a spiritual cooperative community in the tradition of Paramhansa Yogananda.'“ Home to meditation, prayer, yoga, music and arts, Ananda Village offers a variety of soul nourishing experiences and practices. We loved our first visit so much we made two trips in April!!

Crystal Hermitages’ tulip viewing starts around April and lasts all month long!

This is most certainly worth the trip!
